technology alone does not make a good movie

The story line is slooow to develop. Scenes are either slow with little happening or kinetic, trains sliding on ice, trains on a rollercoaster, skiing on top of the train, but they don't add up to a good story. Colors are washed out, which I suppose is meant to be nostalgic, but it comes off as dreary. The movie simply lacks heart.
