The Passion of the Christ(2004)- User Reviews

A clear vision

Gibson put into image what twelve years of school taught day-in, day-out, but Gibson's image brought the story alive and evoked the strong feelings I had from first time I heard the passion story. People can take what they want from this movie, but I found that it condemned neither the Jews nor the Romans. Didn't Christ say "Forgive them for they know not what they do" ... If there is any lesson to take away, that is it. Presenting the story in Aramaic and Latin makes it ever so much more powerful. The story stands on its own and Gibson takes nothing away from it. The actors delivered the story at the gut level where it belongs. The visuals are a knock-out. Overall, very much worth seeing and thinking about.
