Just finished watching this "classic" movie on DVD. And while there are certainly images and moments I will take with me for a long time, the overstated acting by most of the main performers really took away from my overall enjoyment.

I should have been 7 years old when I saw this movie in the Oriental Theater. Maybe it took movies longer to get around in those days, but I remember being older.

A great great movie, there's nothing really like it.
I highly recommend this movie as a part of every person's DVD collection.

The night of the hunter wasted a lot of time with the cara gazing at cute little plastic frogs, which made it seem less scary (a bad thing) but was overall a great peice of work. You='ll love it.more»1 of 3 people found this review helpful-
