The Mountain, the River and the Road

Jeff is a failing post-college writer whose parents are finally kicking out of the house. As an attempt for a final grasp at youthful freedom, Jeff starts out on a road trip to Texas. While passing through the town of Kernville Jeff meets Cat, a young attractive woman also at a cross roads in her life, who works at the front desk of the motel he is staying. Soon Cat and Jeff fall in love while sledding in the woods, cutting up a fallen tree for firewood, exploring dark caverns, and encountering a dead bear. But Tom's impending return back home lingers as a reminder of how fleeting this romance is.
