Enjoyable movie that tells the tale of the first NCAA champs in women's basketball. Hard to believe that it was in the 1970's and not the 1930's. This is a movie for the entire family but told in a very adult way. The beauty of a movie like "The Mighty Macs" is its simplicity which many today might find hard to believe because we have changed so much in our society in the past four decades. Ultimately, the story reminds us that champions don't need to be flashy and super talented but need to understand what it takes to make it. For the ladies' basketball teams of Immaculata Coolege in the 1970's, it was teamwork and most importantly heart. Having a coach like Cathy Rush also helps!
