Alright the movie has a lot of elements within that I consider funny and quite entertaining. The story about the cursed pistol was just put into the mix with other story lines and clichs although I found all of that just fine. The texture of this film is really good it makes me feel like if I'm really in Mexico. 'Brad Pitt' and 'Julia Roberts' do a good job on the whole Love-Hate thing and that turns around many times througout which I found quite clever to separate these two mega-stars for the whole movie and combine them at the end with a satisfying ending, good dialogue and unexpected characters. "The Mexican" is more than what it looks like- its a feel-good trip to Mexico.
