The Master(2012)- User Reviews

This was absolutely the Worst Movie Ever. We went because of the reviews. The opening was strange, the movie consisted of a series of scenes that never really connected to one another. There was gratuitous sex, nudity and language inserted to take the place of a plot. Phillip Seymour Hoffman's character was a cult leader devoid of charisma. Joaquin Phoenix was unintelligible half the time and his character was completely one dimensional--no depth. At the end of the movie, the four of us, all college educated adults, said, "What the hell was that?" None of our group took anything away from this flaming pile of fecal matter. Save your money, see ANYTHING else. And no, I am not a Scientologist. I would have given it zero stars, but Yahoo doesn't allow it...
