The Man Who Would Be King(1975)- User Reviews

Entertaining though somewhat predictable

Rudyard Kipling's 'The Man Who Would Be King' comes to life through it's impressive leads: Sean Connery and Michael Caine. When two British soldiers head off to India to become rulers though when they get what they want things tend to get a little bit out of hand. As stated before Sean Connery and Michael Caine truly bring the film to life. When the film turns out to play off the life of Alexander the Great it begins to drag and even get somewhat predictable. The action is fun but unfortunately it only lasts for the first act and the last bit of the second. Those who love Kipling and a decent adventure story may like it but others may want to approach with caution.
