Personally, I'm more the action type, but this movie was amazing. Never thought a movie featuring eight people, a single room, and mostly just talking could be so good.
The acting was so so. There's really no need to talk about the visuals. There's really no way to rate it really high, but why should it matter for a movie like this, anyway? I give praise to the director for not resorting to various flashbacks. Perhaps it was due to low budget, but I feel that multiple flashbacks would have killed the tension that built up as John told his story.
As for the people who criticize the movie for bashing Christians, I'd like to say: you just can't take a story, can you? Do you honestly believe that the author believes a 14000 year old guy who learned from Bhudda became Jesus 500 years later? Really? It may seem to be attacking Christian beliefs by comparing them to "pagan myths" at some points, but from an objective view, they're just facts. Whether or not you believe in Christianity doesn't make two things any less or more similar.
