This is the classic Bogart movie. The best movie Bogart was in. It’s a murder mystery with a group of slimy characters. I first saw this movie when they finally put it on TV one summer night. The book the movie was based on was made into a movie before but the direction and acting was bad. This movie was directed by John Huston. After he made this movie Huston always said “Don’t remake a good movie, remake bad movies.”
