ok so i finally watched the movie and i thought it was great.... the steamy sex scenes naturally i thought there was chemistry so i dont know what everyone is talking about. i especially liked that it has a happy ending.

I'd have to agree with you. How about Victor? The movie didn't talk about him at all. And I was so looking forward to that crab shack restaurant with dancing and stuff. The kid was supposed to have glasses. The movie moved way too quickly in the beginning I thought. It's like BAM! he found her. I feel the fact that he found her was like just some small 10 second movie shot. In the book it wasn't 'til page 80-something that he finally met Beth!

even the trailer was just painfully dumb

I agree, EVERYTHING is different except the character names and the gist of the story. Logan didn't have a sister, he never tried to tell her about the picture, the picture was totally different and half of the other scenes and conversations never happened. Why bother even calling it the same name. I like Zac Efron, and it was a decent movie but it was not the same story as The Lucky One the book.

Well, I would still read the book, it is very good, but if you want to see the movie, watch it first, then the book will fill in the holes

Dear Tess, do you ever think what was your son doing in foren country and what was hi putting people trough? Thats the right question that you shal ask your self...maybe becouse of your son some other mother will never seen her son returne home.

Safija, did you ever think that BECAUSE of what our military does, that a mother will actually get to see their son or daughter grow up!
    • Susan 13 days ago
Safija, don't come on here and start bashing our country and our military men. YOU don't know what OUR country has been through. YOUR country did not have 2,976 innocent men, women and children DIE from a terrorist attack through no fault of their own. YOU did not have to watch as planes smashed through your buildings with innocent people still inside, and innocent people inside the planes. You did not have to watch person after person (or your people) fall through the sky to their deaths. Until that happens to you, then YOU can talk about what our men in uniform are doing. How they are trying to capture all these sick people responsible. Trying to make their countries a more stable place, so things like this do not happen again (maybe to your own country). Hate America all you want. We don't care. What we do care, is when Mother F**er's come over here, to OUR country and try to start something, by killing OUR people for no reason.

Absolutely loved the movie. Doesn't matter if it followed the book or not... Great movie and I left with a really "feel good" feeling. Movies are supposed to be for entertainment . If you want the "news", then watch TV.

Unfortunately my dear no movie is EVER as good as the book!! Look at Twilight.... you just kinda have to take the movie for what it is. And if you know it's a book Don't read it before you go see the movie, your bound to hate the movie then!

I see a lot of reviews saying "if you read the book, don't go to the movie". There is just no way for any movie to cover everything that happens in a book. For that reason I try never to compare books to movies because they are two totally different forms of entertainment. I'll be honest and admit I've never read a Nicholas Sparks book (I tend to like science fiction, fantasy and historical stuff). That being said let me say I really, really enjoyed this movie. So much so that I'm going to read the book and if it's as different as some people are saying I think I'll still like it, it will just fill in the details, then I'll go see the movie again.

I loved this movie, it was truly a nice Love Story, Zac Efron has really grown up and his acting was super in this movie. He looks great too. I loved the movie. Take a box of Kleenex, it's really that good. I won't spoil any of it for you but you girls will be sorry if you don't see it.

    Mauna,
The Lucky One by: Nicolas Sparks was originally published in hardback in 2008, so maybe you picked up ideas from his book when writing your screenplay. As it couldn't have been the other way around, because his was published a full year before yours. Which also means it was written long before then as well. You should always have at least most of the facts before you write a review that makes no sense.

OMG I sooo wanted to love it. I read all Nicholas Sparks books and saw all the movies. This one was so bad that i can't think of one good thing to say about it. It was way off from the book and the actors just didn't match the characters. Zac is way too young for this role and there was no chemistry between the two of them. I felt like i was watching a Lifetime movie... nothing wrong with that but when you have to pay for the ticket you expect a little more. Anyway, best to wait for the dvd and rent it.

This movie was terrible. No offense to Zac Efron. There was nothing he could have done except try to get his name off the credits. The story was obvious and painfully boring. I worked hard to stay awake!

I really think they should have picked someone else to play logan. Zac is a great actor. I loved him in Charlie St.Cloud but he seemed wrong for this role.
