The Last Exorcism(2010)- User Reviews

I must say I enjoyed this film, but it definitely wasn't as good as I was hoping. To me, it felt like the film kept building into something that never came. The part where everyone is in the barn seems to be one of the most climactic parts of the film before the actual climax at the end, but even then, all you get is a few neck twists and broken fingers. It was very interesting, but not scary like one would expect from a film about exorcisms. I must say, I loved the fact that this film was shot in the same way as The Blair-Witch Project, Cloverfield, Quarantine, and others. I personally love that style. The ending was very climactic, and I loved it, but I also felt, like in Quarentine, that the ending was almost too abrupt. It left a lot of questions unanswered, almost to the point where it ticks you off that you don't get to know the answers. However, this film was good, and I'd recommend it to friends, but is it a horror/thriller classic? No.
