Visually pleasing, but there's really not much more going on with the movie. I'm not an Avatar fan and have no clue about the animae story, and feel I'm missing quite a bit about what the background of all the happenings are. If indeed it as simply as was explained in the movie, then I feel there's a world ripe to be explored with more tales of why things are as they are there and how they came to be.
Anyways, the special effects were pretty good and were prolific enough to give a strong feeling of being there while not being overwhelming to make the settings seem totally unreal.
Definitely could have more going on in a sequel to flesh things out, but I don't think I'd be interested enough to see it.
