Michael Caton-Jones's remake "The Jackal" boasts only one real question: why is it that, when given what could very well be the easiest assignment ever given to a hired gun, Willis's character goes overboard on fancy equipment and disguises only to...but I can't reveal too much. The film is ridiculous and overlong, with an ending that is completely unredeemable. Thumbs down.
