Although Meryl Streep is the best movie actor of her generation, nothing can ever redeem Margaret Thacher who was a monstrous political leader with not a drop of compassion in her. Streep's performance glosses over the real horror of who the PM was and because of that loses all connection to reality. Without understanding the ruthlessness of this woman, no accurate portrayal of her is possible. I don't think Streep has that sort of evil in her. So the whole exercise is a waste of time. It's not worth the price of admission.
