I'm a political junkie...but I found this film to be complete crap. Boring, no twists, moralistic, completely doesn't make sense (see spoiler below), etc. Acting was poor. What a waste of talent.

George Clooney is becoming the guy synonymous with crappy films. Virtually every movie he's been in lately has sucked.

WTF? The girl can't find $900 for an abortion even though her father is the DNC Chairman? Why can't she just lie to him and say the money is for something else, like new clothes for her new job?

Besides, are we to expect that a privileged and connected women like her has no credit cards and no savings? And Stephen doesn’t have any either (and has to take from the campaign slush fund)? Give me a break! Her need for money was simply a way for the filmwriter to create drama.

Also, when the governor calls her and Stephen picks up, why would the governor need to ask for her? It's her phone! Any logical person would just hang up if hearing someone else's voice, especially when calling under shady circumstances.

And what kind of women would get impregnated by the governor, to her chagrin, and then go off in a slutty manner to have sex with the governor’s close advisor?

Story was pure crap.
