The Hurt Locker(2009)- User Reviews

I wonder what message this movie made to get all the academy awards votes. I'm guessing there was a message, i just didnt see it. I saw lots of dirt, a guy disarm bombs, more dirt, lots of shaky camera shots, and more bomb disarming and i waited for the story to develop which it never did. Theres a couple of hours of my life i'll never get back. The only good thing is, my kids rented the movie from bluebox, so we saw it free...
