The cast was good. They did a decent job portraying the circumstances to make it feel real.
Aside from that, who was smoking the drapes when they made this movie? I heard the book was great, and the movie was too. But I have no clue what I was thinking when I sat through the second half, hoping that it would all make sense and not be as bad as it started off.
Both my wife and I were disturbed by the storyline, plot, and the demented production of such garbage. Seriously? Blue hair, hovering spacecraft, digital wild dogs with human-like faces, all as a futuristic, sick, demented Survivor-style reality show? Give me a freaking break. What a JOKE!
The worst part is that this movie was targeted to the teenager audience, which already has a altered sense of reality and fiction when it comes to life and death because of all the violent video games, shows, and books they are exposed to.
Appalling at best. Waste of 142 minutes of my life which I can't get back. I'll remember the Hunger Games alright, but as one of the worst – if not THE ALL TIME WORST movie I've had the displeasure of seeing.
I would avoid this movie on the big screen and video. When it's out on free TV, save yourself the grief of having another bad movie on your list of "movies I wish I would have avoided" and take a pass.
