The Hours(2002)- User Reviews

The Hours... The Reader... Both are really boring movies and are both really disturbing. Both of the films do have really good acting though. The cast of The Hours is full of heavy weights. Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep, Julliane Moore, and Ed Haris to name a few are all great. This is probably one of the creepiest and best performances of Nicole Kidman but it is disappointing that you don't see her that much in this film. It almost seems like Streep is the leading actress even though Kidman won the Golden Globe and the Oscar for this role. She did deserve her awards but I don't believe this film deserved it's best Drama Award at the Golden Globes. It just isn't that good of a film there is no comic relief for the depressing story either. It is not directed well I would have filmed it differently. Kidman needed to be a bigger part of the film I mean it is rediculous how much she became her character. You can't even tell that it's her. Also I believe that it is very repetitive and just an upsetting film. Ughh I had high hopes too. I give up on Daldry sorry.
