The book was absolutely awesome. It was very cerebrial with enough love and action to make it very interesting.
It was a very creative take on the "body snatcher" effect.
I loved the Twilights but in my personal opinion this book was her absolute best so far!
I will say however, that not everyone has the same taste in entertainment. My friend and I read the same books for different reasons, she likes the drama in stories and I like the insight to the characters' minds and reasons for their feelings and actions... She could not get into this book at all, it was too slow for her since much of this story takes place within the heroine herself.
I am sure the movie will be very enthralling. There really is a lot of action going on.
I know that fans of this novel, as well as I, cannot wait and it is cruel to make us wait a whole year! LOL...
My hope is that those who are unsure will give this movie a chance and if you love it go read this awesome book.

By the way, yes, I found the trailer kind of lame too, but the movie is still in production, so what more can they offer at this time... I'm just very excited about this, and the leading actress will be fantastic! Loved her in The Lovely Bones!
