Wow, so, this is actually a good sci-fi movie. The only downside was the heavily teenage-style point of view of the romance; It got a little cheesy, sometimes, but I'm also an old guy, so for a teenage audience, this may be right on target.

The book was slow-paced, but if you have the patience it turns out really amazing.
