Well done Mr. Jackson

For the people giving the movie low reviews what were you expecting? Peter Jackson took a single novel and was able to split it into three movies. The movie flew by and it stayed true to the novel enough that you were happy, but expand into more detail in others. I went to the movie with my wife and my teenage daughter and every one was pleased beyond compare. My daughter could not stop talking about it all the way home.

I have wanted to see Hobbit made into a movie for as long as I can remember. When I went, I was very curious, how they would split the movie and what paths it would take. The action and pace of the movie was non-stop. The combination of character development and special effects was brilliant. The 3d was very good and did add to the movie in a few places. As a huge fan of the novel, including two of the songs of the book was wonderful.

Like the Lord of the RIngs series the only bad part of the movie is you need to wait a year to get the next adventure. The other thing that will make the movie harder to market is the number of characters. I would strongly recommend the movie to anyone who enjoys being entertained at the movies. If you prefer a movie that will show you the meaning of life or just be depressing as heck, odds are this is not the movie for you.

I go back to my original question, if you were not a fan of the Lord of the rings and do not care for fantasy type movies, did you not see the trailer for the movie to give you a clue.
