The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey(2012)- User Reviews

In the process of the filming of the epic saga the Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit in parts, was also in the making. I had my doubts that Mr. Jackson would be able to pull it off. After all, the making of one film is in itself already a daunting task let alone several at once. And so, I thought if any of those films by Mr. Jackson that heralded the coming of the " Hobbit " in it's current film version, were to pull it off and not lose anything in translation from it's book form, the Hobbit would indeed bring it's own special blend of magic to the wide screen.

It is with great anticipation therefore, that I await the arrival of the story that started it all. For me, quite literally, as this was where I began a great adventure in the love of reading, and most assuredly the love of the fantasy novels by the master, Tolkien.

If " the first " is to be measured by it's precendents, then I can hold no hope less than the perfect amalgamation of Peter Jackson's cinematic wizardry and the magical portayal by the actors chosen. In this I rate it a four star only for the purpose of rating it higher after the viewing.
