The Hobbit: There to The Bank and Back Again

Was really looking forward to seeing this film, given that Pater Jackson had actually made a pretty good job (though not brilliant) of the LOTR. BUT...This is a hideously over-rated film: there is virtually no characterisation (an impressive feat, given that Jackson had 3 hours to develop this aspect) and overall, is simply a classic example of greed, greed, greed! Left the cinema feeling utterly conned: how can a relatively simple and short story become a 9-hour trilogy? And is it just me, or does Martin Freeman always play the same character, regardless of what role he is in?

I love the Tolkien books. Jackson has destroyed this one. Wont be bothering with the next 2 yawnfests. Avoid.
