Why is this film not named The Hobbit PART ONE?
O.k. I must admit, I could have read more about the movie and could find out, that they plan to do 3 (or 4) Parts. But I just wanted to see a movie and do not make a research theme out of it. And if they can make three movies out of three books from Lord of the Rings, why not one out of one book like The Hobbit? Hate that they just want to make money ...
Sometimes there where scenes which seamed to be a never ending story (45 minutes just in the hobbits home* ) and then they rushed into battle scenes where twice Gandalf saved them last second - "o.k and here we go again" ... sure you know that they get out of all the trubble in the end, but realy - I get bored watching it.
There are things which are not in the Hobbit book, it's a good story, so why change it - just unnecessary.
The same pictures as in the Lord of the Rings ("I have seen that before ...") but o.k. they are part of The Hobbit story, too (like when Gandalf calls for the Eagles to save them).
I didn't like some parts of the camera work, which they just did to make a good 3D-Effect (that's what I think), made me dizzy and it blurred the picture (watched not 3D) and looked more like a video game than a movie (as some critics have said, but it is so true, *check wikipedia critics for the movie).
I will wait till all 3 movies are out and not go to the theater to watch the other parts ... I want at least a full story! I can wait.
