My husband is absolutely crazy about the entire Lord of the Rings series, so I went with him to see The Hobbit. I found it to be very cumbersome and tiring. About half way through it, I got sleepy and started to nod off. Yes, the special effects are awesome, but I think the movie makers took a great story and made it into some kind of movie marathon. Just tell the story, please....without dragging everything out ad nauseum. I would rather read the book again. However, my husband loved every boring minute and can't wait till the next installment. So, it just depends on personal taste whether or not you will enjoy this movie.
