When I was a kid I loved the Hobbit cartoon movie. Seeing it on screen with the same look and feel of LOTR was so awesome!!! I see some of the negative reviews on here and have to wonder if these are younger people that had only experienced Peter Jackson’s version of LOTR. If so remember that the Hobbit was modeled after children’s fairy tales. In the first edition of Hobbit story line the ring was not evil nor did it have the ability to corrupt.. it was not until later that this was changed and the story became darker.
