This movie will not disappoint true Tolkien fans! I always thought this movie should have been made before the Lord of the Rings trilogy but after watching the midnight showing I'm kind of glad it was made afterwards.

I didn't remember this or that and a few other things but that just tells me I have to read the book again. Saw it in 3D which is really close up for some of the action parts but really Cool. You may say "that wasn't in the book" but can you say "that wasn't in ANY of the books"? Have you read The Silmarillion? The History of Middle Earth?
