However, there are lesser known books that give background details about the world, …more»2 of 2 people found this review helpful-

The movie is great. The idea is to build the characters for the following movies & to tie it all together with the LOTR movies.
Too many haters posting.
Saw the movie last night and loved it.
Now will go see it in 3D.
See it yourself & don't let others …more»2 of 2 people found this review helpful-

After the pinnacle of the Lord of The Rings Trilogoy where Gollum and Frodo fight on Mount Doom in an inconic scene, there was still a lot of book left and Peter Jackson bored us with almost every less than riveting page for what felt like dull ending …more»5 of 10 people found this review helpful-

Amazing movie, fantastic graphics! Left you wanting more. Plus remarkably similar to the book! The actors did justice to the book, specially Gollum, my favorite character in the whole series. His demented appearance and slippery voice leads the way to …more»3 of 3 people found this review helpful-

Loved it. If you to this movie for a great "story telling" experience and just let go, you will really enjoy it. The visuals are rich and engaging. The sounds effects are very good - maybe not excellent. Actors are well placed and maintain …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Nothing short of brilliant and what we have learned to expect from Peter Jackson and his team. In some ways in is much like LTR and in other ways very different. The scenery is spectacular and the soundtrack is awesome. You can't help but fall in …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

I saw it in IMAX HFR 3D first and then 2D 24fps this opening weekend. Both were great. The HFR 3D visuals were best I have seen but it was a little harder to focus on the movie. The second viewing in 2D still look just as good as LOTR movies and could …more»1 of 1 people found this review helpful-

Didnt expect anything less of it. Completely fitted in with the Lord of the Rings trilogy in every aspect with an added bit of humour. The action sequences were amazing, especially the dragon bit at the beginning. Havent read to book so cant compare it …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful
