I'm a Tolkein fan who loved the LOTR Trilogy, but did find the pacing to be a little off at times. As such, I was concerned about The Hobbit being made into three movies.

This is the first CG film worth seeing!! Jackson's genius is going with a faster frame rate to alleviate the strobe effect headache that has ailed us since the dawn of digital. If you have read the book, then you should have not been dissapointed. I cried like four times from just pure enjoyment. The movie goes into depth that the Lord of the Rings trilogy didn't. It gives a little background from the Silmarillion which true Tolkien fans will appreciate. I thought the movie was awesome! We went and seen the Imax3d version and were blown away by the stunning views and 3d effects. I had read all of the LOTR books including The Hobbit when I was young. I thought the graphics were great but the story line wasnt much. Would I watch it again? Yes.
