Just wondering what Peter Jackson was thinking for filming this movie. Nothing near the brilliance for the L.O.T.R. films. No transitions to help the audience to know what was going on. 14 dwarves hanging over a cliff in a tree and the scene stops for the dwarf king to jump out of the tree and battle it out for 2-3 mins with another orc (or goblin). I mean REALLY what does he take us for? This book could have been easily 4 movies, so much was missed, and not mentioned. Entirely new scenes 'thought' up not originating from the book etc...
I wouldn't be surprised if Bilbo just walked up and inadvertently kicked the dragon on the nose and it's finished.
No theme, just scarcely mentioned, no glue to put the movie together. Bilbo and Gandalf failed to put the 'fun' into 'joining' the dwarven party for their adventure. I could go on, but am truely heart broken to mention any more.
It was a letdown for sure.
