I write this review years later, because I've been a big fan of the radio series, the books, the tv film, and I couldn't believe how horribly confused this film was. The script deviated from ANY Douglas Adams storyline within minutes of the opening scene, and wasn't funny entertaining or interesting in the least. The cast was great, but the script was so dreadful nothing could help it. Turns out the director is the son of a optician dispenser who financed the film under the condition that he force his eyewear on everyone in the film. PATHETIC! Avoid this film as if it never existed. DNA deserves to be remember as he left.
