This Movie was awesome Viola was great in her role as Abaline. The whole move transported me back to a time in history that I have only read about in books. It is an eye opener of why we should appreciate where we came from and how many people risked their lives to set us free. Bravo I loved this movie it was awesome. If you don't learn anything respect your elders. They put up with a lot to get us to where we are now. It was moving and it kept you on the edge of your seat. Marla Gibbs on the Jeffersons with her "Take No Prisoners" attitude. Sissy was delightful. I thought she was hilarious. Emma Stone was awesome her character was innocent, courageous, and naive at the same time. She did a marvelous job. This Movie Is a Must See. It is real and it will have you in tears like Imitation of Life with Juanita Moore one of the all time great movies.
