This was a disappointment. I acknowledge that taking this story from such an excellent book to the screen would be difficult. But some of the story choices were poor at best. The characters were not well developed. And some of the script was so excessively sentimental it was laughable.
It was a Disney World concoction of what should have been a gritty, more realistic portrayal.
The acting was terrific, but not enough to save this movie.
