What I really loved about this movie is the broad range of emotions it brought out in the audience. I don't think my husband really wanted to see it but he also loved it. I think it is so sad that we as a society ever treated people the way that these maids were treated. It is amazing that they were clean enough to raise the kids but not clean enough to use the same bathroom. And in some instances as portrayed in this movie they were fired without regard for the relationships that had been developed between the children and the maids.I did not read the book-but probably will some time in the future.
