The whole premise is stupid. Wolves do not behave like this. Never have, never will. Yet another stupid silly Hollywood misrepresentation of an animal. I have a real hard time watching so much stupidity when I have come face to face with Wolves and grizzlies in the wild and then see the stupid movie versions. You would think today, when so many people actually know the biology of the wolf that something this stupid could not get made.

Lol im gonna have to agree with Eric. Probably the dumbest movie I have ever watched, so much so I actually googled "The Grey worst movie ever" and this is one of the many threads that I found. Complete misinterpretation of wolves.I will however also agree that they do, like any other wild animal protect their territory when felt threatened, but to sit here and say that they are known for stalking and killing humans is just ridiculous, they are actually quite skittish around people so really it just makes the premise completely unbelievable and pointless.

The ending, or lack thereof, turned an excellent movie into a huge disappointment. Due to the ending, on a scale of 1-5 stars, the movie was a solid 4 turned into a barely 2 star story. Wait for it to appear on regular TV programming, do not rent or purchase!

I wish I would have read this last night before actually watching the movie!! It was a very dark, depressing movie! After waiting and watching threw the whole thing even the ending sucks! Not worth watching! I love Liam movies but not this one!! I would give it a one star if I had to!!

ok so you people, you know everything about surviving in places like this, why dont you get inside the woods, with 10 or more wolfes, without anything but a knife in your hands, i mean come on, its a movie, everybody is saying o why didnt they do this or do that, they dont have any basic survival skills bla bla, imagine if you where there, what have you done? yeah i know you will say o definitily i will have get out of there alive but pff, the nerves comsume you, this will be a frightning situation, its a great movie :s

I have been in the wild with a pack of wolves, they followed me for a while and sniffed at me. They were harmless and curious. The movie is stupid. I was only armed with a camera. You don't need a knife or a gun or any of that. Wolves are not out stalking and attacking humans. It just is not happening and does not happen. The movie his incredibly stupid.

Being out with a pack of wolves is not frightening, it is awesome and never ends like this.

Yeah Eric, that's what the 'Grizzly'Man said, until his bear friends 'ate' him and his girlfriend.

Very true! Never thought about it until your comment the only difference was the ending!!

Not quite....Edge was a MUCH more well done movie and Grizzly bears will hunt, attack and kill humans for food. The whole wolf concept was absurd. Maybe it made for a "decent" short story...but it was a dull, dark, pointless movie. A waste of my time and celluloid...er gigabytes. No real character development, though they did approach it at times, it fell flat. I usually like Liam movies...but the movie, like the band of misfits he tried to take onto his shoulders and drag to safety, was too big a flop for even his broad reputation to save.

Worth seeing but could have been much better for my taste. I would have preferred more of a triumphant, man v adversity thriller, and the movie could well have taken that route, but instead it turned out to be more of a commentary on life and death and apparently how bleak it can be. I went into it thinking grey was for grey wolves and left seeing it as grey = bleakness of life in bleak conditions. Neeson's performance and the visuals kept my attention but it took itself way too seriously, including some pregnant pauses that lasted forever.

No, it was not a commentary on life and how bleak it can be, it was an ani-God atheist agenda movie.

Well being a very outdoors unfriendly kinda guy, and more a Dexter's Lab glasses wearing nerd, I guess it was easy to fool me when I entered the theater and took a seat in my comfortable chair. I think if I were stranded somewhere out in the wilderness I might survive, maybe. But not this kind of wilderness, when I think of the arctic tundra they had to survive in I think of a nightmare that no one wants to be placed in. This is something I couldn't even conjure up the slightest notion as to hey, how do I get out of here alive? So it wasn't very difficult fooling me considering my very limited experience and prior knowledge of survival situations.

A complete lack of basic survival skills were shown in this film. I can imagine anyone from a remote northern community who watched this film, either laughed or pulled their hair out wondering what the hell any of them were thinking.

thanks for ruining the plot of the movie for me before I got to see it, you jerk. I look at reviews to see what it got rated, not to be told what it's about.

Wow..I didn't read any where here, besides the natural effects of the movie being in the cold, the description of giveaway-(the Preview shows that)+(Really the only person who didn't give away the movie in description).. very well spoken commentator!!
I can't wait to see it..although I am sceptical.. But it seems like a must see!(coming from a serious movie critic)

Dead on, I watched that whole movei so i could see a guy fight a real wolf , not a werewolf, a vampire whatever just some nature vs man, realisticlly . SIgh , and the ending was terriable thats should have been the climax, becuase thats the only part i even wanted to see. It was in the trailer. Could have been so much better , disappointed, 12 bucks gone . :(

I can't believe people are still going to this movie after the many serious negative user reviews. Laim Nesson is a big potenial draw but the writers of this film have under served his talent. The moronic lets walk defenseless until the wolves eat us is insulting common sense. Also whoever designed the way the ending was presented after the credits should be fired!
