Liam has always been a great actor and he is particularly exceptional in this movie. The wolves sounds are really scary but their fur looks too "fluffy" and unreal for those who have seen wolves at close range. The history is totally credible and not unheard in frigid regions, but the end should have been much better. One wants to leave a movie with hope and faith in facing adversity with brains, faith, determination and courage, but the successive defeats of men by wild Nature in this film can really harm this feeling. Not advisable for young kids at all, unless you want to instill deep fear on them!

Look I loved this movie...and...I loved the ending! I took my mother to see it (she wants to jump Liam's bones) and we have talked about the ending multiple times...the ending made the movie! By the way watching Liam get torn limb from limb is not something I wanted to see...even if he beat the Alpha there were still the rest of the pack to deal....trust me...he died!!!!

Wow..I didn't read any where here, besides the natural effects of the movie being in the cold, the description of giveaway-(the Preview shows that)+(Really the only person who didn't give away the movie in description).. very well spoken commentator!!
I can't wait to see it..although I am sceptical.. But it seems like a must see!(coming from a serious movie critic)

Just wanted to let you all know that us in Alaska can honestly tell you that wolves DO KILL people! No disputing that. Probably not quite like the movie tells it. They will also kill whole herds of dull sheep on a mountain, eat the soft belly and leave the whole rest of the animals for the ravens. They are not pets or kind in any way in the wild. Zoos lie to make money!

A similar movie that I liked alot more was "The Edge" with one real big bad bear,no cgi crap in this one. R.I.P. Bart The Bear.

thanks for ruining the plot of the movie for me before I got to see it, you jerk. I look at reviews to see what it got rated, not to be told what it's about.

Lighten up, it's just a movie that has scenes that can actually happen in real life! A plane going down, being attacked by an animal, etc. I like Liam, have u ever watched that show: "I shouldn't be alive" ?

Sorry, I forgot to add to my point with there being no attacks by black bears in the south- this is because there is plenty of food due to the climate being warm. Not so in the North where food is sometimes hard to come by. So imagine if wolves had no prey available/ or not enough in a cold frozen wilderness, and what they would do to survive!

Strip it down, and it is about man being humbled by nature. Take away all else, god, family, material things. Survive or die, just like any other animal... just like it was thousands of years ago. Man vs. Nature.

It is a HORRIBLE movie. Depressing and ignorant. No wonder wolves are on the endangered list in so many states. Whoever wrote it promotes the idea that wolves are monsters and just follow and attack humans. Wolves travel in small packs of 8-10, not multitudes like this dumb movie portrayed. SAVE your money!

Dead on, I watched that whole movei so i could see a guy fight a real wolf , not a werewolf, a vampire whatever just some nature vs man, realisticlly . SIgh , and the ending was terriable thats should have been the climax, becuase thats the only part i even wanted to see. It was in the trailer. Could have been so much better , disappointed, 12 bucks gone . :(

Many under tones in this movie. Death is inevitable for all of us, just as it was for each of the men in the movie. We all take different avenues to face it: faith, no faith, cowardice, bravery, stoic, emotional, give up, keep striving, etc. Neeson's character denied God and an afterlife, but he kept "seeing and hearing" his dead wife try to prepare him for the end.

Wanna know everything about wolves ? Read the book " Never Cry Wolf " By: Farley Mowat. Then, Then you'll know why wolves aren't so bad.....

I can't believe people are still going to this movie after the many serious negative user reviews. Laim Nesson is a big potenial draw but the writers of this film have under served his talent. The moronic lets walk defenseless until the wolves eat us is insulting common sense. Also whoever designed the way the ending was presented after the credits should be fired!
