The Great Raid is a great movie about the true-life story of Lt. Col. Henry Mucci (Benjamin Bratt) who leads the 6th Ranger Division along with a group of Filipino guerrilas to rescue 500 POWs from a Japanese prison camp in 1945.
This film through the direction of John Dahl avoids the very cliches that sank films like Pearl Harbor (2001) & combines war action with human drama that makes this film a must-see.
A Summer movie worth watching.
