This movie is one of the best films of its kind since Saving Private Ryan. It depicts the true story of American herosim in WWII. Finally, a historical movie without the usual Hollywood embellishments that skew the true facts and characters' roles in favor of cinematic style or visual effects.

John Wayne would have been proud of this movie. It is unabashedly pro-American (and pro-Filipino) and extremely exciting. There is no moral relativism or fuzziness--the film portrays good vs. evil, a proper setting for World War II. The critics didn't …more»4 of 4 people found this review helpful
