The Great Raid is a great movie about the true-life story of Lt. Col. Henry Mucci (Benjamin Bratt) who leads the 6th Ranger Division along with a group of Filipino guerrilas to rescue 500 POWs from a Japanese prison camp in 1945.

What makes this film work is the great acting by James Franco.It was based on a true story and you really believe the script and Franco as he leads his men into hell.I bought several copies for Christmas presents this year.Don't miss this film!more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

I went to the film with the expectation of violence and bravery, and I did get that result after watching it. This movie was spellbound by the special effects and semi-effort on the acting and directing. The movie moves a bit too fast paced and not enough time building up the history behind the action.
