The Graduate(1967)- User Reviews

Dustin Hoffman plays recent college graduate, Benjamin Braddock, who has returned home to plan his next move in life. He's unsure of himself and has no direction. Along comes older family friend, Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), who literally throws herself at poor Benjamin. But then, Mrs. Robinson's daughter, Elaine, comes home for a visit and, after being coerced into taking Elaine out on a date, Benjamin falls for her. It all plays out rather predictably.

I guess it was groundbreaking for its time, but it just dragged on for me. The acting was rather bland and unconvincing. Nothing really memorable except for the music by Simon and Garfunkel.
