Like my title, I believe The Good Shepherd to be this year's Capote. My belief is it is a film that requires more than a casual viewing. I was stunned by the horrible user reviews given by the people on here. But then again, the one's giving F's are probably more interested in films that move at a quick pace with a lot of visuals.
Although I cringed at some of the underlying liberal agenda, it wasn't thrown at you in such a way that you thought you couldn't continue. This film has a remarkable cast, amazing directing, and a haunting score.
I give this film an A. See it if you love thought-provoking films as opposed to mindless eye-candy.
