People keep saying this is the best movie of the year and that makes me sad. I guess it's a tribute to what people see as acceptable. I found this movie extremely disturbing and would not recommend it. 20 years ago a suspenseful rated R movie was Silence of the Lambs or Seven which at the time was even a little disturbing, now this. While the story line was suspenseful and interesting the sex could have been left out (especially the aggravated rape scene). I don't understand why it was necessary. It's all about shock value I guess. Is that what made it the best movie of the year? If even one person reads this review and doesnt watch the movie then I am glad I wrote it. It's not even worth one star.
