The Girl Next Door(2004)- User Reviews

I went in with low expectations, and came out extremely satisfied (not in the pants mind you!) I was going to see it with some friends and figured, why not at least it'll have some hot people in it, but this movie was SO funny.

Call me Crazy But I found the American Pie movies to be less and less funny as the series continued, moving from a "funny story" to a "bad and stupid story with funny parts." This movie was quite funny overall and had a good story, and had some extremely funny scenes.

The Girl Next Door was just plain Honestly funny! Granted it wouldn't have worked without the porn stars, the story and comedy did not rely on naked people (such as American Pie 3, although that scene was great.)

As for the stupid Critics... I found NOTHING wrong with the script or the story or the acting. In fact Cuthbert, althought probobly selected for her looks, did a good job in this movie. Timothy Olyphant (her producer in the Movie) played a very memorable and funny character VERY well. Why would you listen to anyone who gave "Lost in Translation" or "Mystic River" good reviews anyways?

Go with some friends and keep the mindset of an 18-year-old and you will find yourself having a very good time.
