The Details(2012)- User Reviews

I saw this movie at the Seattle Film Festival. It was kind of amazing. Like a date movie on acid. It surprised my about a thousand times. It's hilarious -- but you're laughing at really dark things. Tobey Maguire, Elizabeth Banks and Laura Linney are all amazing in the film. So is Kerry Washington. Ray Liotta and Dennis Haysbert also put in great supporting roles. I think you kind if just have to see this movie to believe it. It's not like anything else you'd see all year. But the movie really puts you in the shoes of a guy who is gong down a moral rabbit hole (Tobey Maguire's part). Funny thing is, you go there with him, because you can understand how his character gets from point A to point B really easily, so you feel like you could've done what he did. When you get there, you ask yourself, how in the world did this happen? And it's funny and dark and weird all at once. I have to say I loved the movie. It's got a lot of colors!
