The Descendants(2011)- User Reviews

I don't understand how this movie is getting the acclaim it is. I didn't care about any of the characters and it didn't feel like they cared about each other either. Clooney's character spent more time trying to find the man his wife was cheating with him on than he probably spent on his marriage. There was too much going on and too little to care about. Too many loose ends... in the beginning the young daughter was lashing out, but then she just stopped. And why was this family not at the hospital more often? I just plain didn't get it.
