I really can't understand how George Clooney got an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe for this role. It is mediocre at best!!!!! Shailene Woodley was excellent. I think the whole movie itself was just good, nothing to write home about. I expected something more. Something definitely missing. The story line had possibilities but the director and screen play did not take advantage. Eg the scene where he goes to see his friends to ask about his wife - come on now. The actress who played the role of his wife's friend was less than mediocre. Sorry guys no way is this Oscar material acting or Oscar material film.
