Only Alex Payne could take a great actor in George Clooney, in a great location (Hawaii), and create a completely unwatchable, bore-fest, sleep-inducing dreg of a movie. This movie was like watching grass grow out of a can of drying paint, while having your teeth cleaned with an ice pick. Who are the undiscriminating idiots who keep rating Payne movies (About Schmidt, Sideways, also garbage) so highly ? Probably the type of people who somehow make it out of the house on the night that American Idol is not on.
