I just want to say that this movie is based on a movie made in Hong Kong almost 6-7 years ago titled "Infernal Affairs," played by Tony Leung and Andy Lau. If you want to see a better story telling, watch the original version.more»19 of 39 people found this review helpful-

Geez. Once again Mirapax bought the right of a brilliant movie from an Asian production, then assumed Americans couldn't read subtitles and threw it into garbage (that's what they did to Shanglin Soccer).

The Departed is crap! You should watch the original Infernal Affairs! The Departed fails in every possible way. It lacks the tension, character depth, and emotion of the original.
