I have to say I had mixed feelings about this movie and the end to the Batman franchise with Bale anyway. First I thought the story ark was a bit of a let down. For me anyway it would of been more interesting to see Batman defeated at the "height" of his prowess, not the end when he is virtually disabled. I think Batman having to deal with his own mortality at the pinnacle of his strength would of been a more compelling story. The special effects were amazing, however the story itself seemed to lack the passion of earlier installments. Because you cannot seen Banes reactions, I think it hurt Bale's abiltiy to play off of his foe in any meaningful way. I did think the ending was a clever way to end Bales story...but I think this was the least exciting of the three movies overall.
